BODY POSITIVE:

ASOS is leaving in some very important details in the photos of their bikini models. I wish more retailers would take up this practice.

THE MINIMALIST CLOSET:

Traveling this summer? This mom packed for five weeks in Europe – including two young kids – in carry-on bags only. “The key is bringing pieces that work with every other piece in your wardrobe.” See her detailed packing list – sure to get your minimalist creative juices rolling!

When you find something you love, it’s only natural to want to buy it in multiple colors, right? Especially if you subscribe to the idea of a uniform. But, that could be exactly what’s holding you back from cultivating a closet you love. Erin makes a strong case for avoiding the purchase of multiples.

NEW:

Did you guys see that Cuyana came out with a structured version of their popular Classic Tote? What a great idea! Their Classic Tote is super cute, but it is a pretty ‘floppy’ leather bag. This structured version is a lot more polished and a great answer to the ever-popular Transport Tote by Madewell.

ON S+S:

My blog post on How to Care for Your Birkenstocks got the most traffic in July. If you love and wear Birkenstocks, this one’s for you. That cork isn’t going to take care of itself!

I’m tempted by the Structured Tote from Cuyana, but I wish it had a zipper! It’s the only thing holding me back.

I hadn’t thought about that? You don’t think the zipper would bother your hand when you reach in and out for stuff??
